Floors Castle in Kelso, Scottish Borders invited a contract for the renewal of a 720kw Viessmann woodchip boiler in 2016 using biomass from the Roxburghe Estates woodlands.
Cheviot Heat & Power were appointed to undertake the removal of the existing boiler and the installation of the brand new boiler system as well as the installation of 12 heat meters.
The boiler and all the ancillary equipment had to be replaced, sub – contractors with heavy lifting equipment were contracted by Cheviot Heat & Power Ltd to remove the boiler and to install the new system.
Once the boiler block had been installed CHP then built all the ancillary equipment and connected all the hydraulic and electrical connections for the boiler.
To ensure that the full system at Floors Castle would be fully RHI compliant Cheviot Heat & Power Ltd were also contracted to replace existing heat meters in five cottages, the estate office, Floors Castle and the glass houses.
Cheviot Heat & Power Ltd were appointed to replace the existing 750Kw Kob boiler with a new Viessmann boiler of the same size. The works were seamlessly completed within the time frame given and was followed up by an efficient after sales service
